There are currently 57 sirens located in Licking County and they are all owned and maintained by their individual township or municipality but are triggered automatically by the National Weather Service through the Regional 911.  The weekly Wednesday noon test is conducted by the Regional 911.

Due to the costs associated with this system and due to the fact that they are designed for outdoor warning ONLY, there are not currently any plans to add additional sirens.  We recommend signing up for the HyperReach system that provides alerts through landline, cellular and email and text messages.  This is a free service.

If you are aware of a siren outage, please email us at [email protected] with a clear description of where you are located so we can get that information to the correct township/municipality.
